For today's "painting," I finally painted this sweet little butterfly. It has been a project that I have been putting off for a few months now. It is part of a monotype diptych that I did a long time ago with ginko leaves that I trimmed into butterflies. See it below.
Although I liked this arrangement pretty well, the left side just seemed so much "less finished" than the right side. Below is the detail of what I painted today. I think it balanced things out quite a bit. I think I will frame them separately this time...and hang them one over the other. Enjoy!
